Within the OCTRA (Online Course Catalogues and Databases for Transparency and Recognition) project, the Project progress meeting of project partners was held on 13-14 September 2021 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The host of the meeting was the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education while the meeting was attended by the representatives of the Academic Information Centre – Latvian ENIC/NARIC in person. Other project partners, ENIC/NARIC centres of Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Poland and Russian Federation attended the meeting online.

OCTRA MOSTAR 1During the meeting, all project partners presented the country reports related to the course catalogues available online and main findings arisen from surveys sent to higher education institutions in participating project countries. The findings have shown that there are still challenges at higher education institutions to ensure course catalogues are available online and in English or other foreign languages. For example, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the course catalogues exist in higher education institutions but their visibility is not appropriate, they are not presented at the same way even between organizational units of the same university, there is a different understanding of a definition of course catalogue and most course catalogue available online are not in English.

OCTRA MOSTAR 2The project partners agreed to work on the format, outline and structure for the guidelines and recommendations for higher education institutions about the online course catalogues in the next period while three meetings in Bulgaria, Poland and Russian Federation should be organized in the first half of 2022 based on the epidemiological situation in every country.
