The Project kick-off meeting of the project Online Course Catalogues and Databases for Transparency and Recognition 2 (OCTRA 2) was held in Riga, Latvia, on 10 March 2023. The project was approved by ERASMUS-EDU-2022-NARIC-IBA, Project number: 101101695. OCTRA 2 is a continuation of the previous OCTRA project which aimed to increase dialogue with higher education institutions (HEIs) by agreeing on a template of course catalogues and improvement of national qualifications databases and registers (NQD) that would guide to structured and transparent learning outcomes of HE qualifications facilitating the automatic recognition.
The project consortium consists of the ENIC/NARIC centres of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia (the coordinator), Armenia, Bulgaria, Poland and Romania.
During the meeting, an overview of the project that is a workplan, activities and deliverables were presented, a project and financial management were discussed, the project team was confirmed, and a project work plan was agreed upon.
Besides these general issues, further project activities and tasks for each project partner were discussed including desk study on online course catalogues concerning study programs, study courses and micro credentials – aim, tasks and methods; the methodology and content of the country reports; guidelines, their purpose, target groups and format.
