The ILIRIC project focuses on the implementation of the Lisbon Recognition Convention in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it lasts until November 2023. The Project has foreseen to analyze all legislations stipulating recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to facilitate for competent educational authorities the process of implementation of the Lisbon Recognition Convention in the form of proposals, trainings and workshops. Project is financed by the Council of Europe.
Aiming to achieve a higher level of legislation harmonization in the field of recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Lisbon Recognition Convention, CIP would like to encourage competent educational authorities and other stakeholders.
The Model on Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications has been planned to be proposed, and through project’s activities this Model promoted and delivered to competent educational authorities to be adopted.
Project will assure that all subsidiary documents of the Lisbon Recognition Convention are translated into languages officially used in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to enable all stakeholders better understanding the procedure of recognition of foreign higher education qualifications and its implementation.
In the premises of the CIP in Mostar, on 4 April 2023, the first training of competent recognition bodies was held concerning an usage of the regional database, financed by the Regional Cooperation Council, and within the Berlin process, that is a signed Declaration on Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications in the Western Balkans in Berlin on 3 November 2022. The database will have its public part presenting all information on higher education qualifications recognized by ENIC/NARIC centres of Western Balkans economies, enabling all potential applicants to have information how their qualifications are recognized in Western Balkans economies before the application.
The purposes of all aims set is to harmonize all recognition procedures of foreign higher education qualifications in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to have fair and facilitated recognition for applicants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
