The representative of the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education participated at the Kick-off Meeting of the Project "Strengthening of Internationalization in B&H Higher Education" which was held in Ghent, Belgium, on the 25th and 26th of January 2016.

The host of this event was KU Leuven. Beside the representative of the Centre, the Meeting was attended by the representatives of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, 8 public universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is University of Bihac, University of Banja Luka, Dzemal Bijedic, University of Mostar, University of East Sarajevo, University of Mostar, University of Sarajevo, University of Tuzla, University of Zenica as well as international partners KU Leuven, Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Instituto Politécnico do Porto) and Buckinghamshire New University.

 

The Project was approved under Erasmus+: Higher Education – International Capacity Building, Selection: 2015. The main objective of the Project is strengthening and improving of an internationalization process of B&H universities.

 

Leaders of all activities are KU Leuven and University of East Sarajevo. The Project is divided into eight Work Packages. The Centre is a leader of a Work Package 2. The main objective of this Work Package is a development of recognition model for B&H public universities and a harmonization of recognition procedure at these universities.

 

The duration of the Project is 3 years and a maximum amount of the grant is an amount of EUR 702.287,00. The Project officially started on 15 October 2015 and should be finished on 14 October 2018.
