The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica organizes a summer school called "Healthy Aging Challenges in Western Balkans".
The summer school is planned for the period from June 19 - 23, 2023. years. Considering that an extremely large number of participants is expected, we are sending you this invitation to register your students who will participate in this event as soon as possible. Through a series of interesting lectures and workshops, students will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of Healthy Aging, which is extremely necessary for further development. The ILIRIC project focuses on the implementation of the Lisbon Recognition Convention in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it lasts until November 2023. The Project has foreseen to analyze all legislations stipulating recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to facilitate for competent educational authorities the process of implementation of the Lisbon Recognition Convention in the form of proposals, trainings and workshops. Project is financed by the Council of Europe.
31 credential evaluators from 15 national recognition centres partners in the EQPR, including representative of the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education completed the training on the EQPR methodology, held in Strasbourg from 28 to 30 March 2023. In addition to completing the training, they also put into practice the knowledge gained by participating in online assessment of refugees’ qualifications. 18 refugees have had their qualifications assessed on 30 March and the result of the assessments will be known in the first weeks of April.
The Project kick-off meeting of the project Online Course Catalogues and Databases for Transparency and Recognition 2 (OCTRA 2) was held in Riga, Latvia, on 10 March 2023. The project was approved by ERASMUS-EDU-2022-NARIC-IBA, Project number: 101101695. OCTRA 2 is a continuation of the previous OCTRA project which aimed to increase dialogue with higher education institutions (HEIs) by agreeing on a template of course catalogues and improvement of national qualifications databases and registers (NQD) that would guide to structured and transparent learning outcomes of HE qualifications facilitating the automatic recognition.
Organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), the workshop of the Working Group on Recognition of Academic Qualifications of economies of Western Balkans took place in Podgorica on 30 and 31 January 2023.
The meeting of the Working Group on Recognition of Academic Qualifications Contact Points (CPs), Quality Assurance Agencies (QAAs) and ENIC/NARIC representatives of economies of Western Balkans took place on 13 and 14 December in Sarajevo. Representatives of all the economies attended the meeting as well as representatives of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) which was the host of the meeting, the director of the Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe (ERI SEE), and consultants working on the assignment on Joint Master Degree in ICT and the Regional Recognition Database (RRD).

This new Erasmus+ call for proposals will continue the rollout of the European Universities initiative with a record total budget of €384 million.
The European Universities’ work encompasses all higher education institutions’ missions of education, research, innovation and service to society. These alliances have diverse models of systemic, structural and sustainable transnational cooperation which reinforce the quality, performance, attractiveness and international competitiveness of higher education across Europe, for the benefit of their students and staff, while promoting our democratic values.
The Erasmus+ 2023 European Universities call is now open to the participation of higher education institutions from all Western Balkans countries as full partners in the alliances.
